Well - here is my vision of Scott's "Parlor Passage" as he described in his novel "Red Seas under Red Skies":

The tenth hour of the evening. Night fell like a cloak over the Ghostwinds; and the Poison Orchid, under topsails, stood in to the Parlor Passage gilded in white and amber light. A hundred alchemical lanterns had been shaken to life and placed around the ship's entire hull, a few in the rigging but most beneath the rail, casting rippling facets of false fire on the dark water just below.
...
"A quarter less six," called a leadsman.
"Fog coming up," said Jean. He and Locke stood at the starboard rail of the quarterdeck. Drakasha paced nearby, Mumchance had the wheel, and Delmastro stood by the binnacle with a small rack of precision timing glasses.
"That's how it starts," said Mumchance.

If you're interested in the creation process (OK, at least some steps), please have look here:

Thanks a lot and - No problem at all!
I didn't realize that we have a second Locke-Group now here on dA - until now. :boogie:
I'd really love to join, but I learned that join requests are closed for now. Just note me, when you start to "hire" new members, OK? :D

How weird they were closed. It should be fixed now.

:giggle: Jokester! How hard I wished I would be able to work with Poser or DAZ to insert some people into the scene!!!!
But seems I'm too slow-wittet for that.

But there is still hope. As the whole scene still exist as work-in-progress-wireframe-model on my harddrive, maybe someday I'll be able fo fix that point. ;) and to use another ship-model and to figure out, how to get along with those damned lanterns! :)

:D Your comments and hints really made me think about another try to get through this passage. Thanks a lot!
